Macklemore pledges his $1 million earnings from Ed Sheeran’s The Loop tour to six groups providing aid to the Palestinian people affected by the war in Gaza. The rapper is making the donation after he was fired as Ed’s opening act following pro-Palestinian statements made on stage during a show in New Jersey. Macklemore is also challenging billionaire Robert Kraft, owner of Gillette Stadium, to match his donation, after Kraft seemingly led the push to get Macklemore removed from Ed’s American tour dates. In a statement, Kraft says he’s upping his pledge to $2 million, while Ed works to get other stadium owners to follow suit.
