Michael Mann is in recovery. The ‘Collateral’ director experienced a real health scare on Halloween while shooting at a sanctioned gun range in Los Angeles. “On Saturday, at a gun range, a weapon accidentally discharged while holstered resulting in a superficial injury to film director Michael Mann,” Mann’s representatives told E! News in a statement on Nov. 2. “He was treated and released Sunday.” Following the Oct. 31 incident, Mann was taken to the hospital in “stable condition,” a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told the New York Times. The spokesperson also noted that responding units confirmed the shooting was accidental in nature, and Mann’s injury was minor. E! News has reached out to the LAPD for comment but has not yet heard back.
