‘Roseanne’ alum Michael Fishman, who played Roseanne’s son D.J. Conner on the hit sitcom, told E! News exclusively about how former costar George Clooney is a big inspiration to him, in addition to ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star James Pickens Jr. Fishman noted that show execs weren’t completely on board with Clooney’s casting. "There were parts of leadership who didn’t totally get George or weren’t totally supportive," Fishman exclusively told E! News Oct. 30. "I got to watch George face all of that with an element of like, grace and dignity. George, for me, is an inspiration. The 45-year-old actor also shouted out Clooney and James Pickens Jr, telling E! News, "Those are the two guys that I looked at professionally because I got to watch them have success and then go through the building portion of things and then watch them explode back out and build their careers. He still calls me Fish Man whenever I see him because he for years we have run into each other." Fishman also shared behind-the-scenes details on Roseanne’s beloved holiday episodes, including those Conner family Thanksgivings and Laurie Metcalf’s fearless costume choices.
