Farrah Abraham is putting herself first. The Teen Mom star reflected on the moment she ultimately decided to prioritize her own peace over relationships with her mom Debra Danielsen and dad Michael Abraham after the trio appeared on the Family Boot Camp season of Marriage Boot Camp in 2017. “In the end, you’re tasked as a child of your parents that are with you to choose one or the other or yourself, and I chose myself,” Farrah said on the Aug. 18 episode of the We Need to Talk podcast. “Both of my parents were sad, but it sent a loud message that like I’m not going to be the ping-pong in between you both anymore.” The 16 & Pregnant alum revealed that she speaks with her parents on occasion, describing the distance between them as “detached with love” before expressing how their absence still affects her: “It’s hard to grieve the love that you just don’t get.” Farrah previously opened up about her relationship with her mother in an October 2025 interview with E! News, where she alleged that her mom did not provide her with the “safe space” she needed.
