The Pitt fans can rest easy after the HBO Max medical drama’s first season three teaser revealed Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) returns to the E.R. safe and sound after his sabbatical. The Aug. 21 first look showed Wyle’s character returning to Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital after a months-long motorcycle trip across the U.S. and Canada, as Shawn Hatosy’s Dr. Jack Abbott is leading the night crew through another intense 12-hour shift. Katherine LaNasa’s Dana Evans welcomed Robby back with her signature humor, while the teaser hinted his return to the high-pressure E.R. may not be an easy one. Season three will also feature returning stars Sepideh Moafi, Fiona Dourif, Patrick Ball, Taylor Dearden, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell and Shabana Azeez, while Supriya Ganesh will not return as Dr. Samira Mohan. Ayesha Harris, who plays night-shift favorite Dr. Parker Ellis, has been promoted to series regular ahead of The Pitt’s January 2027 return.
