While the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders introduced their iconic blue-sleeved and white shorts look in 1970, the organization is adding earrings by Kendra Scott to its outfit for the first time. The DCC are partnering with the Austin, Texas-based jewelry designer—who married country singer Zac Brown in May—on the Bella Silver stud, an $85 earring featuring a custom round-cut crystal with cubic zirconia accents. According to a press release, the design was inspired by Texas stars, stadium lights and the energy of game day. DCC senior director Kelli Finglass explained that when it comes to the famous uniform, every detail has a purpose, calling the Kendra Scott stud a “final touch” to the look. The earrings have already sold out online. While fans of Netflix’s America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders know the squad for its instantly recognizable uniform, the look has undergone some changes through the decades. The DCC brought its signature belt buckle back in 2002 before updating it with crystals in 2006, and the cheerleaders have worn custom white Lucchese cowboy boots since 2011.
