Spider-Man is about to be farther from home than he ever imagined. In the recently released ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ Tom Holland’s titular friendly neighborhood superhero saves New York City once more while coming to terms with his decision to stay away from former lover MJ—played by Zendaya—and best friend Ned Leeds—played by Jacob Batalon. And for his next appearance, he appears to be swinging out of this world. The film’s post-credits scene shows Ned’s Spidey Tracker app—a program used to catalog the webslinger’s whereabouts. The app first shows Spidey in New York City and briefly loses his location before zooming out to reveal that, somehow, he has made his way into outer space. Marvel Studios’ quintessential onscreen text announces that Spider-Man will return—but notably omits whether that return will occur in 2026’s ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ its sequel ‘Avengers: Secret Wars,’ or a future stand-alone film.
