While speaking about 1996’s ‘Ghosts of Mississippi,’ director Rob Reiner reflected on the ‘profoundly disturbing’ idea of being killed in front of one’s family. The film is based on the 1994 trial of Byron De La Beckwith, a white supremacist accused of the 1963 assassination of civil rights activist Medgar Evers. Rob reportedly died by the hands of his own son, Nick, who allegedly killed both the Hollywood icon and his wife, Nick’s mother, Michele, at their LA-area home on Sunday. Their daughter, Romy, is said to have discovered their bodies.
