Prior to this chat, Pat fired back online, writing to fans that Whitney’s stumble was during a sound check and had nothing to do with her addiction battle; instead, Pat blames the literal misstep on bad lighting. She says she’s only engaging in this back and forth to protect her late sister-in-law’s legacy, noting if Whitney had been high during the performance, she would be the first to say so.
