Jon Hamm—who tied the knot with wife Anna Osceola in 2023—broke his silence on becoming a first time dad, noting it’s a mixed bag of emotions. “Something’s happening here,” he told Seth Meyers, who held up a photo of Hamm and Osceola on the Emmys red carpet, during his Sept. 22 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. “What it is is exactly clear. We’re having a baby.” As for how Hamm feels about becoming a father for the first time? “By turn, very excited and deeply terrified,” he said. “So, I think I’m doing it right.” Then Meyers—who shares kids Ashe, 10, Axel, 8, and Adelaide, 5, with wife Alexi Ashe—joked that at 52, he gets excited to meet “a fellow old dad.” Hamm, 55, however, considers himself to be in a league of his own, the 55-year-old telling Meyers, "You got nothing on me.” Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/videos/2515102275698/jon-hamm-admits-hes-terrified-for-fatherhood-after-confirming-wife-anna-osceolas-pregnancy #enews #jonhamm #annaosceola About: The E! More than 120 journalists at Business Insider and Politico are protesting parent company Axel Springer’s decision to honor billionaire Peter Thiel, arguing that celebrating the tech investor conflicts with the company’s stated commitment to press freedom. The employees raised their objections in a letter to Axel Springer leadership ahead of Thursday’s ceremony in Berlin, where Thiel is set to receive the company’s annual Axel Springer Award, according to Status. The protest comes two months after Axel Springer announced Thiel as this year’s recipient, praising the PayPal and Palantir co-founder as one of the digital era’s most influential entrepreneurs and investors. CEO Mathias Döpfner said at the time that Thiel “reminds us that progress requires courage and nonconformism.” Thiel’s history with the press has made the decision particularly sensitive inside a company that owns major U.S. news organizations. He secretly financed Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit against Gawker after the site published a 2007 article outing him as gay. Hogan won a $140 million judgment in 2016, helping drive Gawker into bankruptcy and fueling a broader debate over the ability of wealthy individuals to use litigation against news organizations. The employee pushback also comes as one of Axel Springer’s U.S. newsrooms is fighting…

Shares of Netflix are down 40% in the past year and 23% in the past six months as Wall Street continues to sour on the streamer’s stock over engagement concerns. On Tuesday, HSBC analyst Mohammed Khallouf downgraded Netflix from a Buy to Hold rating and cut his price target from $96 to $76, which he attributed to YouTube’s “rapidly expanding” living room footprint and Netflix’s share of U.S. TV time dropping to 7.8% in July. He argued that the Alphabet-owned video platform has benefitted from a “declining reception”to Netflix’s original content and believes a “near-term recovery in engagement looks unlikely.” Khallouf’s downgrade of Netflix comes less than a week after Wells Fargo lowered its rating on the stock to underweight from equal weight and its price target from $80 to $57 on “worrying” engagement trends. On Friday, Wells Fargo analyst Steve Cahall estimated that Netflix’s members watched an average of 1.6 hours a day in the first half of 2026, roughly 8% less than the same period in 2023 when adjusting for the extra households brought in by the company’s password sharing crackdown. Cahall warned that hours spent watching Netflix’s top 100 original programs could fall 21% year over year…
Pluto TV has unveiled its new and improved product experience, the company’s largest technology investment since its founding 12 years ago. As part of the product rebuild, live and on-demand programming will be available together. This comes as the platform moved onto the same technology as its parent company Parmount-Skydance. Pluto TV now operates with the same technology stack as Parmount+. “Free streaming is only getting more popular, but people are overwhelmed by choice,” said Cindy Holland, chairman of direct-to-consumer Paramount Skydance. “Our answer is proven hits, a library of tried and tested fan favorite titles that people return to over and over again, plus a product built to match it, and a brand people know they can turn to. That’s what the new Pluto TV delivers, and it’s why we see this as one of the biggest opportunities in our portfolio.” The upgrade also comes with an expanded library. Now television hits like “The X-Files,” “Arrow,” “Hart of Dixie” and “Burn Notice” will be available on the platform along with blockbuster film franchises including “”John Wick,” “Rocky,” “Creed” and “Jump Street.” Pluto TV will also see produce enhancements like a more intuitive interface, stronger discovery and personalization, while still…

The Ted Danson-led “A Man on the Inside” will conclude at Netflix after three seasons, TheWrap has learned. The comedy series recently began production for Season 3 in San Francisco, and Netflix shared Wednesday a still of Danson behind-the-scenes studying his lines on-set. “This series began with a retiree taking a chance at a new life. By answering a help wanted ad and venturing out into the world, Charles Nieuwendyk made his world bigger and proved that life only slows down if you let it,” creator and executive producer Mike Schur said. “We are thrilled to be able to conclude his journey with one final chapter, as embodied by the great Ted Danson, who I am legally required to refer to as a ‘National Treasure.’” Season 3 of the Netflix series will bring on some heavy-hitter comedians as guest stars, as well. Broadway star Bernadette Peters joins as Coco Van Beck, the Grand Dame of San Francisco society, who hires Charles (Danson) to find whoever is trying to sabotage her philanthropic work. Nick Offerman (“Margo’s Got Money Troubles”, “Parks and Recreation”) will join as Jack Spencer, one of Coco’s employees who takes a special interest in Charles’s investigation. Annette O’Toole…

The New York Times was sued by a Florida state pension fund on Wednesday, demanding access to internal records to investigate whether the newspaper has adhered to its own editorial standards in its coverage of Israel. The State Board of Administration of Florida filed a 48-page petition in New York County Supreme Court on behalf of the Florida Retirement System Trust Fund, a Times shareholder. The filing seeks the company’s books and records and alleges that repeated publication of what the petitioners characterize as false or unsupported claims raises questions about the Times board’s oversight of its journalism. The lawsuit also cites allegations from an anonymous former Times employee who said her repeated complaints about anti-Israel bias and antisemitism inside the newsroom were dismissed — claims the shareholders are now citing as grounds to examine the board’s oversight. The former employee, who is Jewish and spent nearly a decade working on the Times’ video desk, said she raised concerns about the newspaper’s coverage and workplace culture at least 15 times between 2019 and her departure in March 2026, according to the petition. The petition also states the employee said she brought her concerns to managers, the Times’ standards operation and…

Sweet Magnolias star Chase Anderson attempted to make light of the show’s shocking cancellation with a joke about losing benefits. “Yes, the show I have been on for five straight seasons did get canceled but I am doing fine,” Anderson, who played Jeremy since season 1, said in a TikTok posted Tuesday, September 22. “Who does have health insurance these days? I don’t need that.” News broke on Friday, September 18, that Netflix chose not to renew Sweet Magnolias for a sixth season. Instead, the streaming service ordered a new drama series from creator Sheryl J. Anderson — with JoAnna Garcia Swisher set to executive produce and potentially star in. “All grand adventures must eventually end,” read a post from the show’s official Instagram account. “And here, dear friends, is where ours goes. Hayden Panettiere was reportedly in rehab and suffered an overdose before her death at age 36. Page Six obtained a detailed report from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office stating that either Brian or Zach Hickerson claimed Panettiere “was in a drug rehab facility” in Malibu “up until a few weeks ago” before she died in August. One of the brothers — whose name was redacted in the report — claimed he “had to administer Narcan” to Panettiere before. The actress’ father, Skip Panettiere, also told authorities his daughter “had recently been released [from] rehab” after spending “two or three weeks” at the treatment facility. Celebrity Deaths of 2026: Tim Janus, Presley Gerber and More Stars We’ve Lost Per the report, Skip said Hayden had “struggled with addiction since her early 20s” and had been “in multiple rehab facilities since that time.” He also spoke about Hayden’s relationship with off-and-on boyfriend Brian, which he described as “nothing but troubled.” The coroner’s report also mentioned that Hayden “suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her daughter” and noted that her “addiction issues [had] escalated since then.” (Hayden welcomed daughter Kaya with ex Wladimir Klitschko in 2014.) Jeffrey Katzenberg penned a lengthy letter about the current state of AI in both Hollywood and Silicon Valley on Wednesday, warning that “to resist technology is to risk irrelevance.” “There is growing fear and resistance surrounding AI within the creative community. I deeply understand it, because I’ve spent countless hours walking through animation studios watching gifted artists bent over their desks, rebuilding a single second of film for the tenth time because the ninth version wasn’t quite right,” the DreamWorks co-founder wrote on X. “From the outside some see resistance. From the inside, it is love. People do not fight this hard for things they don’t care about. The pushback coming out of Hollywood represents the collective effort of people who are deeply passionate about their craft.” Katzenberg went on to list multiple examples of artificial intelligence impressing him as of late, while also sharing what he learned from Steve Jobs and Walt Disney and what he sees for the future. “I have spent the better part of the last decade in Silicon Valley, but the heart of my career has been in Hollywood. Being deeply connected to both worlds means I have deep loyalties to each and a responsibility…
