Nicolas Cage and Christian Bale are completely unrecognizable in the trailer for the upcoming Prime Video film ‘Madden,’ following the real career of NFL legend John Madden. Cage traded his signature dark slicked-back hairstyle for Madden’s impressive blond flow. The 62-year-old also bulked up to match the football lineman physique, completely transformed from his typically lankier frame. Bale, 52, was arguably even harder to identify as Davis, trading his brunette hair for the Raiders exec’s slicked back pompadour and topped off his look with Davis’ signature frames. Gordon Ramsay has spent the last 20 years going to Hell and back to find the best head chefs in America — but there’s a new job requirement for “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 25: No applicants over 25 years old. “These kids have grown up not just watching the show, but there’s a big advantage with food on social media because of the level of insight, the kind of creativity it creates,” Ramsay told TheWrap of his young cast. “Plus, it’s free. Look at what you get to see and understand. So, these kids are the beneficiaries of that and it shows in their cooking. But above all that, their attitude was absolutely spot on.” As you’ll see in the season premiere Thursday on Fox, “Hell’s Kitchen” Season 25 pulls from previous iterations “Young Guns” and “Battle of the Ages” to once again test which Gen Z chef is ready to be Ramsay’s next protégé. “When you see these raw, focused, driven individuals, it’s one of the hungriest seasons we’ve ever had because they’re desperate for that platform,” the host and EP said. “They know me, so I was brutally honest with them: ‘You’re going to love me, you’re going to…
Claire Danes will reprise her role, and Howard Gordon will return as co-showrunner with Daniel Pearle.
“The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon jokingly accused President Trump of sucking up to Chinese President Xi Jinping this week, remarking that Trump is even going to rename the Kennedy Center after the latter man. “Today, President Trump welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington for a two-day state visit,” Fallon noted at the top of his Wednesday night monologue, joking, “I’m not saying Trump is sucking up to him, but it’s now called the Xi Kennedy Center.” “I’m happy to report that both leaders have reached a big agreement. They decided to go as Taylor [Swift] and Travis [Kelce] for their couple’s Halloween costume. That’s a big deal,” Fallon added. The “Tonight Show” host went on to note that President Xi’s visit this week marks his first trip to Washington, D.C. in a decade. “President Xi hasn’t been to America in ten years,” Fallon told his “Tonight Show” viewers. “He showed up today and was like, ‘Is it just me or didn’t there used to be more White House? Reflecting Pool’s green, I remember that.’” You can check out Fallon’s full Thursday night “Tonight Show” monologue yourself in the video below. Later, Fallon threw another jab at Trump, this…
“The Beast in Me” will return for a second season at Netflix, with Claire Danes reprising her role as Aggie Wiggs. Danes will star in and executive produce Season 2, with Howard Gordon and Daniel Pearle serving as co-showrunners. As part of the renewal, Netflix and Gordon have inked an overall deal to develop new series exclusively for Netflix through his Teakwood Lane Productions banner. The news comes just under a year after “The Beast in Me” first launched on Netflix in November 2025, and just weeks after the series scored two Emmys, including a win for Matthew Rhys in the outstanding lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie category for his performance as Nile Jarvis. While Netflix did not reveal whether Rhys will return for Season 2, Danes’ return as author Aggie Wiggs means the series will shift from a limited series to a drama series for future Emmy categories, per the rules established by “The White Lotus,” which shifted from the limited or anthology category to the drama category. Additional EPs for Season 2 include Antonio Campos, Caroline Baron, Amy Lippman, Gabe Rotter, who created the series, Conan O’Brien, David Kissinger, Jeff Ross and Jodie…

The Writers’ Guild of America West’s Political Action Committee is endorsing Los Angeles City Councilmember Nithya Raman in the city’s mayoral race, touting her “consistent record supporting organized labor and increased local film and television production.” “With organized labor under attack nationally, and television and film production leaving Hollywood, LA must elect a mayor who is committed to supporting entertainment workers. That’s why WGAW is proudly backing Nithya Raman, who has a real vision for protecting jobs and supporting the entertainment industry,” WGAW President and PAC Board member Michele Mulroney said in a statement. “She is a true pro-labor candidate who walks the walk. John Malkovich will receive the Outstanding Performer of the Year Award at the 2027 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, SBIFF organizers announced on Thursday. Malkovich will receive the award for his performance in Martin McDonagh’s “Wild Horse Nine,” in which he and Sam Rockwell play CIA agents who travel from Chile to Easter Island in the run-up to the 1973 Chilean coup that overthrew the Salvador Allende government. His comic performance as a man planning to write a book that could spill CIA secrets has made him one of the frontrunners in this year’s Oscar Best Actor race. The Searchlight film had its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where Malkovich won the best actor award from a jury headed by Maggie Gyllenhaal. “Wild Horse Nine” also screened at the Telluride and Toronto film festivals before its Nov. 6 theatrical release. “A legendary actor gives … his best performance to date in which he combines pathos, volatility, vulnerability and tenderness,” SBIFF Executive Director Roger Durling said in a statement. “It’s a high wire act that shows us what a commanding artist he is.” Malkovich has been nominated for Academy Awards for “Places in the Heart” and “In the Line of Fire,”…

Senator Mitch McConnell is back at work, but that doesn’t mean Chelsea Handler thinks he’s actually alive. In fact, the comedian is pretty sure it’s a real-life “Weekend at Bernie’s” situation. Handler stopped by “The View” on Thursday, and the ABC hosts promptly got her opinion on some of the more political Hot Topics they’ve covered lately. First among them was McConnell’s return to work on Capitol Hill, after being absent for three months, in the hospital with health problems. “Was that a return? That’s a return to Saturn, is what that was,” Handler joked. “I mean, honestly. I can’t believe — this is obviously like ‘Weekend at Bernie’s.’ We’re dealing with a person who’s unconscious or possibly not even alive. You know, I mean the way they’re propping him up — and when his hand went up, I was like, ‘Who’s holding his hand up?!’” Speaking a bit more seriously on the subject (but only just), Handler called it “just ridiculous.” “When they look back at this time in history, how are we going to explain ourselves?” she wondered. “But luckily with AI, maybe none of us will have to!” Handler isn’t the only one at “The View” that’s…
