She asked him how he was doing, which was enough to get O’Brien cooking and the woman met him with her own “yes, and” at every turn. “Yes, we go way back. We were married a long time ago,” O’Brien said when Rahma asked if they knew each other. “We got too kids,” Debbie responded. “How are they, by the way? I haven’t visited,” O’Brien continued. Debbie played along perfectly and then her and the comedian were off to the races for the remainder of the show. “They’re fine. While amputating his left leg when he was 2 years old, surgeons transplanted the Los Angeles native’s big toe onto his hand so that he could better grasp and hold objects. ‘DWTS’ Fans Are Sending Daniella Karagach ‘Applications’ to Date Ezra Frech The Dancing With the Stars contestant admitted during Monday’s interview that he was always more insecure about the appearance of his hand than his leg. “There was points — even [in] middle school, early high…

The cast of Young Sheldon was brutally honest about a story line that didn’t sit right with them involving an adult and a child getting married on screen. Jessica Radloff‘s tell-all book Young Sheldon: The (Juicier-Than-Meemaw’s-Brisket) Inside Story of the Hit Comedy, which is out now, revisited a wedding sequence in the later seasons where Missy (Raegan Revord) had a dream she was marrying Pastor Rob (Dan Byrd). “It was tremendously awkward, but as the adult in the dynamic, I have to be the one to not make it awkward,” Byrd recalled. “Raegan’s obviously wise and mature beyond her years, but she’s a child, or at least was at that stage in her life, so you just try to make a joke out of the whole thing and keep it as lighthearted as possible.” He continued: “Matt [Hobby] was there too, which helped, and it’s a very friendly set, but yeah, the optics of it aren’t great if you don’t understand the full context.” ‘Young Sheldon’ Cast: Then and Now Raegan’s mother, Holly Revord, meanwhile, wasn’t thrilled by the scene. “I didn’t like seeing Raegan in a wedding dress at that young age! It made me uncomfortable,” she admitted. “I…

“The Penguin” creator Lauren LeFranc is in talks to produce an upcoming Poison Ivy series for DC Comics and HBO, TheWrap has learned. The series has not been greenlit by the network, but it would be an expansion of the DC Comics supervillain’s story. There are currently no writers attached for the DC Comics spinoff, but LeFranc would be signed on as a producer not a writer. The HBO series would reportedly not be part of part of Matt Reeves’ Batman Universe, though. LeFranc earned critical acclaim for her eight-episode crime drama television miniseries, which followed the events of the 2022 Batman film and saw Oswald “Oz” Cobb’s rise in Gotham City. The limited series won nine Emmys, including Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for Cristin Milioti. Poison Ivy is deemed in the DC Comics world as Batman’s Floral Femme Fatale. Dr. Pamela Isley, as her alter ego, Poison Ivy can control anyone she wants by using her pheromones. She has only sporatically appeared in DC Comics’ TV and film adaptations. Previous cameos include HBO Max’s adult animated series “Harley Quinn,” which featured Lake Bell as the voice of Poison Ivy; Bridget Regan played the character in the…
Chris Hayes condemned a controversial attack ad targeting Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton on Tuesday, calling it “one of the most despicable things I’ve seen in politics” and accusing Republicans of resorting to personal attacks as the midterm elections get closer. The ad features Acton’s estranged mother, Donna Arthur, calling her daughter a liar and urging voters not to elect her governor. Arthur disputes Acton’s accounts of her childhood, including her experience of homelessness. “What neither she nor the makers of that ad mentioned is that that woman, Amy Acton’s birth mother, as Amy Acton calls her, has not spoken to her daughter since 1978,” Hayes said on Tuesday’s “All In With Chris Hayes.” “And that’s when she lost custody of her children, Acton and her brother, after years of documented abuse.” You can watch the “All In” segment yourself in the video below. Acton has said she was removed from her mother’s custody at age 12 after her stepfather was accused of sexually abusing her. Her brother, Phil Stearns, has also spoken publicly about the abuse they experienced as children. Hayes argued that the ad was designed to make voters question Acton’s account of her past without providing…
It’s time to return to the “Little Shop of Horrors.” In honor of its 40th anniversary and timed to Halloween, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a deluxe 4K UHD Blu-ray edition of the film, which looks and sounds better than ever. Based on the off-Broadway musical by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, itself inspired by Roger Corman’s marginal 1960 black-and-white horror movie, “Little Shop of Horrors” remains one of the best movies of the 1980s and one of the best movie musicals, period. Snappily directed by Frank Oz, the film features a razor-sharp script by Ashman that is by turns hilarious, deeply moving and, yes, occasionally horrifying. Part of what makes the movie work so well is its cast, which includes Rick Moranis as a meek flower shop employee who gets seduced by an alien plant voiced by Four Tops member Levi Stubbs; Vincent Gardenia as the shop owner; and Steve Martin as a sadistic dentist. (Bill Murray, John Candy, Christopher Guest and James Belushi all pop up in brief supporting roles.) But the heart of “Little Shop of Horrors” belongs to Ellen Greene’s Audrey. She’s dating the sadistic dentist but longs for a sweet guy like Moranis’ Seymour.…
