John Oliver and his wife Kate Norley teased the comedian’s plans to have a keg stand at his 50th birthday party. As Norley exclusively told Keltie Knight in a joint interview with Oliver during Live From E!: 2026 Emmys Sept. 14, “It’s definitely going to involve a keg stand.” And while the comedian hopes no one ends up with a “broken nose and face” at the soirée, he has an inkling that an injury brought on by the rager would be just his luck, jokingly predicting his tenure on one of HBO’s longest running shows may get cut short “due to a keg stand and natural selection.” For right now, though, Oliver and the Last Week Tonight team are ushering the beloved series into its 13th year on the air.
