Jodie Turner-Smith shared insight into co-parenting her daughter Juno, 6, with her ex-husband Joshua Jackson—with whom she reached a divorce settlement in May 2025—detailing the no. 1 rule they’ve enacted to ensure their daughter never feels caught in the middle. “I’m a child of divorce myself and so is my ex-husband,” Turner-Smith told Hoda Kotb on the June 29 episode of the Joy 101 podcast. “And so it’s always been important to think about, ‘Okay, what is the language around which we are going to talk about this with our daughter?’” Although she and the Dawson’s Creek star, who split in October 2023 after four years of marriage,were briefly locked in a difficult custody battle, the former couple has tried to speak about each other with respect in front of their child. “This is her new reality and we’re learning as well and not always getting it totally right,” the 39-year-old continued. “But the idea is always two homes filled with love.
