Jenna Dewan and her pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, chat with ET’s Emily Curl as they begin rehearsing for ‘Dancing With the Stars’ season 35, premiering Sept. 15 on ABC, Hulu and Disney+. Jenna, a former pro dancer for Beyoncé and Janet Jackson, says signing on for the show was about reclaiming her ‘joy’ — and also for her daughter, Everly Tatum, who’s a big fan of ‘DWTS’ (and Val!). Jenna addresses viewer concern she has an upper hand, given her dance background, promising ballroom is a new challenge for her and requires ‘a lot of unlearning.’
