Jason Alexander is apologizing after Courtney Stodden accused him of inappropriate behavior during the filming of a 2012 Funny or Die sketch. In a statement to E! News on July 22, the ‘Seinfeld’ alum said he “completely agree[s]” that the sketch was inappropriate and expressed regret for any harm or distress it caused Stodden, offering his “sincerest apologies.” The apology comes after Stodden, who was 17 at the time of filming, shared an Instagram post on July 20 calling out Alexander for repeatedly rubbing a phone on her breasts as part of the sketch, writing that “the older I get, the more impossible this is to understand.” Stodden also claimed the paycheck she was supposed to receive for filming was instead paid to her then-husband Doug Hutchison. E! News has reached out to representatives for Hutchison but has not heard back.
