Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere addressed the short-lived marriage of their parents, Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere, during a new interview for ‘Vogue.’ The two also pose on the magazine’s September cover (on newsstands Aug. 25), more than 30 years after Cindy and Richard shared the glossy in 1992. Before they were cast together in FX’s ‘The Shards,’ Homer explained he met Kaia socially and asked, ‘Should we just acknowledge the fact that our parents were married?’ to which Kaia responded, ‘Yeah. Cool.’ They also discussed nepotism, with Kaia acknowledging she’s ‘only ever benefited’ from being a ‘nepo baby,’ but the scrutiny only pushes her to work harder. Meanwhile, Homer initially had no interest in becoming an actor due to seeing firsthand what a ‘complicated life’ it could be.
