Before Dolly Parton died Aug. 25 at the age of 80, she shared that she had recorded a secret song and placed it in a time capsule at Dollywood that is scheduled to be opened in 2045. The 11-time Grammy winner previously joked that she may have had some regrets about the decision to keep the track hidden away until her 99th birthday. “I had to write this song that nobody was going to hear ‘til then, and I tell you you have no idea how that has bothered me,” she said on the ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ in 2022. “I want to go dig that up so bad.” But while Parton—who released 49 solo studio albums in her lifetime—was prolific for her songwriting, she was more proud of her Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library organization, which provides millions of free books to kids.
