Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ parent company Pro Silver Star took legal action against My Chemical Romance. According to court documents obtained by NBC News, Pro Silver Star filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against the rock band on Oct. 23. They allege in the docs that during the band’s opening night at the Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 21, they had a line of female dancers dressed in “counterfeit uniforms” resembling those of the DCC cheerleaders as the group performed their 2006 song “Teenagers.” The company claims the dancers’ outfits were made of the “signature elements” that make up the iconic DCC get-up, including white boots and a white vest with blue stars. Footage of the performance shared to social media also shows the performers dancing with blue and white pom-poms.
