Charlize Theron defends her mom, Gerda, killing her father, Charles, in an act of self defense in 1991. The Oscar winner details the story on ‘The New York Times’ ‘The Interview’ podcast, to journalist Lulu Garcia-Navarro, sharing the harrowing details of the night Charles allegedly threatened Charlize and Gerda when he was drunk. Charlize says, after he fired several bullets at her and her mother, Gerda grabbed her gun and killed Charles.
