Shake It Up alum Bella Thorne alleged that while she and Zendaya played best friends CeCe and Rocky on the Disney Channel series, they were often pitted against each other—despite their IRL friendship. On an Aug. 5 episode of ‘Call Her Daddy,’ Bella said, “We’re supposed to be best friends. They play best friends. It got pretty bad, and then you have your families and the rest of the set and everything." Noting they were expected to compete for lasting success in Hollywood, she explained, "With women, it’s just, ‘Nope, we have to make you guys all big for one spot so that we can have the 80 other million ones.
