Ashlee Simpson’s son has picked up some pieces of her. The “Boyfriend” singer revealed that her and ex-husband Pete Wentz’s 17-year-old son Bronx plans to follow in his parents’ musical footsteps as he heads off to college soon. “I’m about to be a mom of an 18-year-old, which is just so wild,” Simpson exclusively shared with E! News at an Alice + Olivia breast cancer awareness event Oct. 16. “A lot of my kids love music, especially my oldest.” The teen—who will be 18 on Nov. 20—plans to study music, with Simpson adding they’ll “see where that takes him. I’m so proud of him,” the 42-year-old raved, “and I love that boy.” And Bronx isn’t the only member of the family planning to practice his la-las, as Simpson—who shares kids Jagger, 11 and Ziggy, 5, with husband Evan Ross—is prepping some music of her own. “I have been in the studio working on music. I cannot wait for next year,” Simpson revealed. “I feel like it’ll be coming out sooner than you know and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve been working hard on it.”
