Lionel Richie will return to the ‘American Idol’ judges’ panel, despite his ongoing health issues. Lionel, who is currently recovering from a heart procedure, has repeatedly canceled or postponed shows due to his health, but is still expected to join Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Ryan Seacrest for ‘American Idol’s’ milestone 25th season. Carrie and Luke made the announcement to a Nashville audience, where Lionel appeared via video message to help break the news.
