Josh Peck has spoken out for the first time following the release of the explosive docuseries, “Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” In the Investigation Discovery show, Drake Bell opened up for the first time about the abuse he suffered as a child actor at the hands of his dialogue coach, Brian Peck. Drake and Josh starred in the hit Nickelodeon show “Drake & Josh” for four seasons from 2004 to 2008. Following the documentary’s release, many people took to Josh’s social media to ask him why he hadn’t spoken. On Thursday, the “Oppenheimer” star went on Instagram to address the show and publicly support the survivors. “I finished the ‘Quiet On Set’ documentary and took a few days to process it. I reached out to Drake privately but want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world,” he wrote. “Children should be protected. Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry.” Drake also spoke out in defense of Josh on Wednesday, telling fans in a TikTok video that they had spoken. “I just want you guys to know that he has reached out to me, and it’s been very sensitive,” Drake said. “But he has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this. And has been really, really great. So just wanted to let you guys know that and to take it a little easy on him.”
