Great minds think alike! Kate Middleton and Prince William, and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have a similar approach when it comes to their plans for World Mental Health Day. The couples are each tackling the topic with separate events that both fall on Oct. 10. Kensington Palace revealed in a statement on Friday that the Prince and Princess of Wales will host a forum for young people alongside a charity and radio station in the U.K. As for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they are set to emcee a similar event in New York City that day. A Sussex spokesperson told People that it will be their Archewell Foundation’s first-ever in-person event and it will focus on giving a platform to families who are trying to build a safer online world for their children. Both couples have been champions for mental health for several years. Back in 2016, Prince William, Prince Harry and Kate Middleton launched their joint initiative, Heads Together, which aimed to change the conversation surrounding mental health. Meghan joined their work in 2018.
