Rebecca Gayheart chats with ET’s Nischelle Turner about returning to work after seven years away from acting; she takes the stage in ‘Jawbreaker: The Musical,’ running through Sept. 20 at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood. It’s a reimagining of the cult classic teen film, in which she starred as Julie; this time around, Gayheart is Ms. Sherwood, the principal played by Carole Kane in the movie. The former ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ star opens up about what made this the right moment to say yes to a new chapter, revealing she believes her late husband, Eric Dane, ‘would be very proud’ of her. Gayheart also reflects on their daughters, Georgia and Billie, her family legacy and stepping outside her comfort zone to sing onstage for the first time.
