A source tells ET, ‘The reason Brooklyn decided to make the Instagram post now is because he was tired of the ongoing headlines about his wife. He wanted to share his side of things and wanted it to come directly from him, not reports. Brooklyn and Nicola have both felt immense pressure to live up to their families’ expectations and have felt the need to prove themselves. They have bonded over that. It’s not lost on them that the optics of this family drama are not good for their brands or future endeavors. None of this makes Brooklyn happy. He’s sad about the situation and misses his sister. That said, Brooklyn and Nicola have no plans to make amends after feeling like they’ve tried to fix it privately for years.’
