The Boys TV show is known for its crazy visual effects. And The Boys Season 4 is even more outlandish than ever. So how do they create those incredible and disturbing CGI sequences? How much VFX is in the show? And is it possible to film The Boys without CGI?
Antony Starr was unimpressed by Jensen Ackels physique. He portrays Homelander and wears a muscle suit, but still has to keep himself in good shape for the stunts he does. All of the Supes’ outfits are made with the help of 3D modeling. The same models are used to create visual effects when it’s too dangerous for the actors.
Many sequences are comepetely and fully CGI-ed, like the V-ed up chicken and sheep in The Boys farm scene. And in the scene where The Deep eats his octopus friend, no animal was harmed. Timothy was a CGI creation. Still, Chase Crawford had to eat some unpleasant stuff while filming. Watch this video to learn more about The Boys behind-the-scenes!
