Steven Spielberg has officially joined one of the most exclusive clubs in entertainment history: He’s now an EGOT winner! The legendary director earned his very first Grammy Award at the Feb. 1 ceremony, taking home Best Music Film for producing ‘Music by John Williams,’ a documentary celebrating his decades‑long collaboration with the iconic composer. At 79, Spielberg is no stranger to major accolades. He’s already won three Oscars for classics like ‘Schindler’s List’ and ‘Saving Private Ryan,’ along with four Emmy Awards for projects including ‘Band of Brothers’ and ‘Taken.’ In 2022, he added a Tony Award to his résumé for producing the hit Broadway musical ‘A Strange Loop.’ Now, with his first Grammy win, Spielberg becomes one of just 22 people in history to achieve EGOT status—joining legends like Rita Moreno, Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Elton John, John Legend, and Jennifer Hudson. And Spielberg’s awards momentum isn’t slowing down. He’s also nominated for another Oscar this year as a producer of ‘Hamnet,’ the acclaimed drama earning eight Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
