John Oliver has officially lived out his soap opera dreams, and on Sunday night’s episode of “Last Week Tonight,” he promptly roasted his performances. After begging to be cast in a soap opera earlier this year, the HBO host was actually cast in two, earning guest starring arcs on “General Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives.” Now that both shows have aired, Oliver mourned that his “hot soap summer is over,” and made sure to regale his audience with how everything went down, beginning “General Hospital.” “That’s right, I got to act while sporting hair that looks like if L’Oréal sold a color called ‘Mid-Life Crisis Black,’” Oliver joked, pulling up a photo of his character. That said, he applauded and thanked “General Hospital” for meeting all his requirements for a guest role, including having his character get slapped by a soap opera legend. Naturally, Oliver played the scene for the crowd, and was stoked when it ended. “Yes! Yes! That had everything!” he bellowed happily. “A slap, a dramatic close-up, and me doing a voice so wrong, it’s genuinely embarrassing.” Said voice was simply Oliver’s attempt at an American accent, telling his co-star that “That ain’t gonna happen.” It…
Hayden Panettiere expressed hopes for her and ex Wladimir Klitschko’s daughter Kaya before the actress’ tragic death at age 36 Aug. 16. “I started getting calls from my 11-year-old being interested in the industry so that’s more of a nail-biter,” Panettiere shared in an interview with E! News in May. “I always want to support whatever she wants to do but I am trying to guide her toward, ‘Let’s not rush into anything.’” Indeed, while Panettiere started her career as an actor at just 11 months old, she had a different trajectory in mind for her daughter. “‘Why don’t you try a few things out and have a college experience,’” Panettiere recalled telling her. “She still has the ability to fly under the radar and once you give that up you don’t get it back. Once you’re out there and you’re famous and known, there is no getting your privacy back.” Panettiere was pronounced dead in Greenville, South Carolina , just before 2 p.m. local time on Aug. 16, after police and Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of an "unresponsive female." Her cause of death has not yet been shared. #enews #haydenpanettiere #investigation #death About: The E! News…

President Trump apparently hid in an airport catering cart to pull off a plane switch in Turkey after a NATO Summit last month, and on Sunday night, John Oliver joined in with other late night hosts mocking him for it. But, for Oliver’s part, he only saw one real issue with the move. According to The Washington Post, Trump switched planes due to security concerns, and did so by sneaking out a side door and riding in a catering cart to a smaller plane. “Fantastic! The only problem I can see there is, next time he needs to escape, he’s not going to be able to use the catering truck trick again, because everyone knows about it now,” Oliver said. “People are going to be suspicious from now on if they see a plane go one way, a catering truck go another, and an enormous man-sized cake get wheeled away by two suspiciously jacked chefs.” Oliver was just the latest to poke fun at Trump’s stunt, with “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon using his monologue on August 12 to imagine the endless questions Trump probably asked while inside the cart. Meanwhile, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” guest host Anthony Anderson was…
