After serving for a year-and-a-half as President Donald Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt says reporters used to apologize for “unfair” questions following press briefings. While talking on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast this week, the former press secretary claimed that journalists were often forced to ask certain questions their editors wanted. “There’s a performative aspect to the briefing room,” Leavitt said. “In fairness, I think on both sides, right? But definitely with the press, and they have to do that because their bosses are demanding it. There’s been times reporters have even said to me, ‘I’m sorry, I had to ask that today. You know, my bosses really wanted me to ask that.’ They know it’s an unfair question, but they’re not in control of their own livelihood, they are dictated by the editors and the execs at some of these companies.” Leavitt stepped down as press secretary at the end of August after Trump announced her departure on his Truth Social page. She had been with the administration since the beginning of his second term. “Our wonderful White House Press Secretary, and one of my most trusted aides, Karoline Leavitt, will be departing her role at the…

For a zombie apocalypse horror movie based on a genre-defining video game, the ending of Zach Cregger’s “Resident Evil” is actually pretty heartbreaking. And while there is a somber inevitability of where it takes our hero Bryan (Austin Abrams), now is a good time to offer a fair SPOILER ALERT: The following interview with Cregger and his star speaks candidly about that ending and exactly how it was made. Believe it or not, Cregger originally had an entirely different ending filmed and didn’t land on the berserk, gory, violent and, yes, sad conclusion that the critical and box office hit ended up with. The short of it is Bryan finally makes his way with the antidote to the top floor of the hospital, where a group of scientists is waiting for his delivery: a cure to the zombie virus wrecking havoc on their city. Little do they know that Bryan is infected after being bitten on his travels, and he’s increasingly evolving into one of the very beasts that have been tormenting him for the last 80 minutes. Losing control of the beastly tentacles growing off of him — and the chest-sized, fanged mouth devouring every living thing around him…

San Francisco sued Trump Media over a Truth Social service that charges trading firms as much as $100,000 a month for early access to President Donald Trump’s posts, alleging the product gives wealthy investors an unfair advantage on potentially market-moving information. City Attorney David Chiu announced the lawsuit Tuesday after filing it Monday in San Francisco Superior Court. The complaint targets Truth API, a data service Trump Media unveiled in July that gives paying subscribers faster access to posts from Trump and other prominent Truth Social accounts. The service promises speed — and a lot of it. Trump Media interim CEO Kevin McGurn has said Truth API gives subscribers a “50 millisecond advantage” that feeds directly into algorithmic trading platforms, according to the complaint. More than 10 customers, primarily high-frequency trading firms, had signed up for the service by late August, according to the complaint. “Trump Media created a marketplace that enables insider trading, which Trump directly profits from,” Chiu said in a statement. “This scheme turns the public trust into private profit.” The lawsuit alleges Trump Media violates California’s Unfair Competition Law by aiding and abetting violations of federal ethics and anti-corruption law and by violating federal insider-trading laws.…
An Indiana man has been charged with raping and killing a 20-year-old a woman more than 24 years after he had taken her for a swim at a Pennsylvania swimming hole. David Heck was charged on Monday, September 21, with murder, rape and kidnapping offenses in the 2002 death of Sabrina Kahler in Erie County, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office said in a Tuesday, September 22 news release. A yearslong investigation revealed Heck, 50, took Kahler for a swim at Eagley Park before he allegedly raped and killed her in the woods near Lake Erie on June 24, 2002, according to prosecutors. Ahead of Kahler’s death, she had been dating Heck’s cousin. “A totality of evidence that included key grand jury testimony from previously-reluctant witnesses led to a single conclusion — that David Heck raped and murdered Sabrina Kahler 24 years ago,” Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said in a statement. DNA on Cigarette Linked Calif. Man to 1982 Rape and Murder of Girl, 13 “This is a historical development that brings some answers for Sabrina’s loved ones and the Erie community, but it is not a day of celebration as we have not yet brought Sabrina home,” Sunday added.…
The worst fears of Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants have been realized following the quarterback’s injury suffered against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, September 21. Dart’s knee injury is “more severe than originally anticipated” and he could potentially miss the rest of the season, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Tuesday, September 22. The Giants quarterback, 23, suffered the injury during his team’s first possession on Monday Night Football, when he was hit by Rams linebacker Byron Young. The impact from Young, 28, sent Dart awkwardly into Rams linebacker Josaiah Stewart before he crashed to the turf. Dart grabbed at his right knee and was evaluated in the medical tent on the sidelines before making his way to the locker room. The second-year player later made his way back out onto the sidelines in street clothes to watch the remainder of the game. Jonathan Owens Reacts to Being Called ‘Mr. Biles’ After Prior Controversy Sources told ESPN that Dart tried to re-enter the game in the first half, but the Giants would not allow it. Backup quarterback Jameis Winston replaced Dart, ultimately finishing 11-for-27 passing for 111 yards and one interception. The Giants fell…

You share a home, a bed, your favorite takeout order and basically every streaming password. But there’s one thing you and your partner probably don’t share equally: how you’re aging. Maybe you’re still bouncing out of bed while your other half needs three cups of coffee to function. Maybe one of you has gotten laser-focused on skincare and longevity while the other could not care less. Sound familiar? You are not alone, and it is exactly why couples everywhere are starting to have the same conversation about a molecule called NAD+. What Is NAD+, and Why Is Everyone Talking About It? NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme found in nearly every cell in the body, and it plays a major role in cellular energy production and metabolism. NAD+ levels naturally decline as we age, which has fueled growing interest in its role in healthy aging. Partners rarely age in sync. One craves more energy, the other wants to focus on appearance or performance. One is totally fine with needles, the other wants nothing to…
