When it comes to the Emmys, it’s truly an honor to be nominated—and these stars know the feeling best. Ahead of the Emmys 2026 kicking off at Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 14,…
The 2026 Emmys is being punted to a different day this year. While entertainment award shows are traditionally held on Sunday nights, the 2026 Emmys ceremony is jumping ahead 24 hours to Monday, Sept. 14. But why is TV’s big night taking place on a different day than usual? The reason has to do with two things: the Cowboys and the Giants. This year, NBC and Peacock hold the rights to air the 78th Emmys ceremony under the soon-to-expire “wheel deal,” which is a longstanding broadcast agreement between the four major networks—ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX—to rotate airing the ceremony annually and pay $8.25 million in license fees, per Variety. But both NBC and Peacock are also home to NFL Sunday Night Football. And since the Dallas Cowboys were scheduled to play the New York Giants on Sunday, Sept. 13, the Emmys were pushed to Monday so the network and the streaming platform could air both. NBC most recently aired the Emmys in 2022 and 2017, with both occurring on Monday nights to avoid a scheduling conflict with Sunday Night Football. As for the 2026 Emmy Awards, the ceremony kicks off at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m PT on Monday,…

Peacock’s All Her Fault, which received seven Emmys 2026 nominations, was inspired by a terrifying experience by author Andrea Mara, who wrote the book on which the show is based. While series shows Marissa Irvine, played by Sarah Snook, living a parent’s worst nightmare as she races to find her kid that was abducted, Mara based her book on her real-life experience. I n April 2015, Mara went to pick up her then-5-year-old daughter and "was surprised when nobody answered the doorbell," the author wrote in a 2021 piece for the Irish Independent, sharing how her book came to be. "I tried again. Still no answer. Awkward. Not odd yet, just awkward." Thankfully it turned out to be just a simple address change, but it inspired the Peacock series. In All Her Fault, Marissa shows up at the address texted to her by someone and is greeted by Esther (Linda Cropper), who’s perfectly nice but is not Jenny Kaminski (Dakota Fanning)—the mom Marissa thought invited Milo for a playdate with Jenny’s son Jacob. As the show goes on, Marissa is forced to question everything, including the number that texted claiming to be Jenny. #enews #peacock #allherfault About: The E! News…
Constance Zimmer is weighing in on the lack of Emmy Award recognition for her ‘Love Story’ team. Before heading into the 2026 Creative Arts Emmys ceremony, the nominee spoke exclusively with E! and revealed that she was “surprised” that her costars—Paul Anthony Kelly, Grace Gummer, and Naomi Watts—were not also among the list of nominees. Furthermore, Zimmer revealed that she was expecting to be one of the few actors from her show not recognized. “I mean, I was surprised I was nominated, so it worked both ways,” the actress told E!. “I thought I was going to be the one that wasn’t, and then when I was the one that was, I was just like, ‘Wait, what just happened?’” #enews #constancezimmer #emmys2026 About: The E! At one point in the film “The Life and Deaths of Wilson Shedd,” a prison official played by Tim Blake Nelson sighs and says, “I will never understand people.” But Nelson is also the writer and director of “Wilson Shedd,” a dark and probing drama that you might consider an attempt to understand people, or at least the stories they tell. A bold indie production that draws from the real-life case that also inspired the 2018 miniseries “Escape at Dannemora,” the film from veteran character actor, playwright and novelist Nelson scrambles chronology, pulls Ernest Hemingway, Flannery O’Connor and even Emily Dickinson into a prison setting, invites the audience to sympathize with its central characters and then forces viewers to come to terms with the people to whom they’re giving that sympathy. Watching it can be a troubling experience, and by the end a grueling one; it is also richly rewarding drama that doesn’t let anybody off the hook, characters or viewers. And if that sounds a little forbidding, it is also a showcase for two gripping performances, one from Scoot McNairy as a convict and one from Amanda Seyfried as a teacher, trapped in an abusive marriage, who takes a…

For months, the loudest “60 Minutes” story unfolded outside the broadcast. Sunday night, it spoke for itself. The Season 59 premiere was more evolution than revolution. CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss and executive producer Nick Bilton refreshed the packaging without dismantling the formula. But its access-driven opener showed why independence questions persist. The 7:50 p.m. broadcast, delayed on the East and Central timezones by CBS’ NFL coverage, opened with its hardest test: Norah O’Donnell’s reconstruction of two U.S. Air Force officers’ rescue after their F-15E was shot down over Iran. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth tells 60 Minutes that news of a U.S. fighter jet being shot down over Iran woke him in the middle of the night. His first thought: “S***.” pic.twitter.com/8Dt1iqZ91G— 60 Minutes (@60Minutes) September 13, 2026 Pilot “Alpha” was rescued within six hours. Weapons systems officer “Bravo” landed five miles away with a damaged parachute and broken bones. “It was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen,” Bravo said of looking up and seeing no parachute. He nevertheless climbed toward a 7,000-foot ridgeline as Iranian forces searched for him. Newly declassified footage showed his extraction. Interviews with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and commanders supplied remarkable access…

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Lanterns” Episode 5. “Lanterns” burned it all down in Episode 5, and there are still three hours left on the HBO show’s clock. Sunday’s installment brought Hal (Kyle Chandler) and John’s (Aaron Pierre) 2016 investigation into the Manhunter’s dealings in Rushville to an explosive head – all while things reached a point of no return for the Green Lantern and his trainee. Hal abandoned John to take on Zoe/Manhunter (Poorna Jagannathan) and Macon (Garrett Dillahunt) himself, all while Antaan (Paul Ben-Victor) arrived in town to throw a wrench in everything. Episode 5 director Geeta Vasant Patel told TheWrap that the fun from being a “semi-finale where there’s a lot of doors closed, and then a lot of doors opened” was in finding the character moments in the chaos, as Rushville was turned into a smoking ruin. “The marching orders are always to make sure that amid the action, there are emotional arcs happening,” Patel said. “The action is a given. However, to create action that really is no different than a dramatic scene is always a challenge in these situations when there is so much physicality, and there are explosions and things like that.…
