Maria Bartiromo is headed off air. After more than a decade as an anchor on Fox Business, parent company Fox Media confirmed she had departed the network on Sept. 3. “Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,” the company said in a statement shared online. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.” The statement did not supply a reason for the change, but it noted that the final episode of Bartiromo’s daytime series ‘Mornings With Maria’ had aired that morning, and that her Fox News show ‘Sunday Morning Futures,’ will be hosted by Jason Chaffetz this week with a permanent replacement announced at a later date. Former Survivor Greece contestant Stavros Floros is suing producers of the show after an on-set accident led to his leg being severed above the knee. In a $100 million lawsuit obtained by Us, Floros, 22, alleged that the leg injury occurred when he was struck by a tour boat propeller as he was spearfishing for food on May 11, 2026. Floros claimed that Survivor Greece allowed castaways to swim in open water in an area that was heavily populated by tourists in the Dominican Republic. (TMZ was the first to report news of the lawsuit.) Floros’ attorneys criticized the safety protocol on the reality competition show, as Floros allegedly saw no warning markers, safety boats or protected zones. Per the court documents, Floros said his leg was lost in the ocean and he was only kept alive by “a tourniquet applied by a stranger aboard the offending tourist boat.” He was later transferred to a Miami hospital where he underwent multiple surgeries during a 61-day hospitalization, according to the lawsuit.
