Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark theme park has responded to backlash over an ill-timed social media post following the death of Dolly Parton. “We join the millions mourning the loss of Dolly Parton, whose generosity, talent and spirit touched so many,” a park spokesperson told People in a statement on Wednesday, August 26. “A member of our social media team noticed inaccurate pricing information about Hersheypark within a post and intended to respond directly just to that individual to correct it, not realizing the reply would appear as a response to a conversation about Dollywood. It was removed as soon as we recognized the context. We sincerely apologize for any insensitivity.” Hersheypark faced controversy on the same day as the singer’s death at age 80 on Tuesday, August 25, for responding to a fan crediting Parton for keeping “prices reasonable in this economy” for her own theme park, Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. When the fan posted a photo of a single-day Dollywood ticket for $99 on X, Hersheypark responded by writing, “Our summer tickets are $49.99.” Dolly Parton Said She Still Had So Much to ‘Achieve’ 4 Days Before Death Another X user tagged Hersheypark directly to ask, “Are you guys going…
Court documents exclusively obtained by Us reveal that Wynonna Judd’s daughter, Grace Pauline Kelley, has been denied a temporary prison release to give birth to her second child. On July 16, a judge denied Kelley’s motion for a temporary furlough. The 30-year-old is currently serving a sentence of one year and three months at the Rockingham County Jail in Harrisonburg, Virginia, after she entered a guilty plea to a felony charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license on June 18, 2026. Court documents obtained by Us show that Kelley’s legal team requested the temporary release on July 2, noting that she is expecting a baby “on or about August 16.” Her attorney requested she be allowed out for the delivery, but the judge ruled she must remain in custody. The documents state that Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office will escort her to the hospital for a scheduled cesarean section. Kelley is already a mother to daughter Kaliyah Grace, who was born while she was on a leave of absence from jail in 2022. Wynonna Judd’s Daughter Grace Kelley’s Ups and Downs Over the Years Kaliyah has lived with her famous grandmother, 62, on her Tennessee farm for several years…

Brian Austin Green had such a great time filming Totally ‘90s House for HGTV that he wants to return — without any new additions. “I wouldn’t nominate anyone else,” Green, 53, quipped exclusively to Us during a joint interview with Beverley Mitchell and Jodie Sweetin. “I think the three of us should come back and do season 2.” Totally ‘90s House, which airs Wednesdays on HGTV, follows Green from Beverly Hills, 90210, Mitchel, 45, of 7th Heaven fame and Full House‘s Sweetin, 44, who are paired off against Melissa Joan Hart from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Boy Meets World‘s Matthew Lawrence and The Cosby Show alum Keshia Knight Pulliam. “There’s so many people that would be fun to join,” Mitchell added. “But I would never break up our team. So it would have to be our team and then we would have a challenge [with someone new].” ’90s Stars Then and Now: Melissa Joan Hart, Macaulay Culkin and More Sweetin, meanwhile, suggested themed teams. “We could do Step by Step. We could do TGIF shows. We could do all Aaron Spelling shows,” she suggested. “I’m just tossing out ideas.” Despite the wide variety of possibilities, Green stood behind his initial…
When “Primetime” moviegoers sit down in theaters to see Robert Pattinson play “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen, they are first going to get a message from Chris Hansen himself. Not because he’s involved with the A24 film at all, but because the journalist purchased ads for his true crime network TruBlu to run as part of the previews. The former NBC “Dateline” reporter is the complicated subject of the upcoming Lance Oppenheim crime thriller based on the rise and fall of his hit 2000s TV show, in which Hansen confronted alleged pedophiles who were lured to a sting house by adults posing as teens online. The ads are for his boutique true crime streaming network, TruBlu, and according to Entertainment Weekly are set to run exclusively in front of “Primetime” for at least the first four weeks of its theatrical run. “I’m going to need everyone in the theater to take a seat right over there,” Hansen says in the ad, quoting one of the lines he would regularly say to the various predators he would confront. The TruBlu streaming service offers true crime series and documentaries, including “Takedown With Chris Hansen,” a spiritual successor to “To Catch…

If “Big Brother” is a game of chess for the participating houseguests, then putting on the show is a game of Mouse Trap for the people behind the scenes. Each week every summer, executive producers Allison Grodner, Rich Meehan, host Julie Chen Moonves and the rest of the 24/7 Banijay crew set the Radford Studios stage with every possible piece in play — but it’s up to the mice (or hamsters, in this case) to put their respective plans in motion, even if that means accidentally sacrificing their own games in the process. This Thursday, CBS celebrates the series’ 1,000th primetime episode with a 90-minute special live eviction installment and a game-changing twist. “BB” will become the first series to ever achieve this milestone, 26 years after it first premiered on July 5, 2000. In preparation for the big event, TheWrap was invited to the July 13 live eviction taping for Season 28. That Thursday saw a brewing blindside be undercut by a Block Buster win as Haley Thogmartin saved herself from elimination with Barrett Pfeiffer then surviving a 9-1 house vote against Chuk Anyanwu. Ricky Schroder is facing backlash for his controversial tribute to Dolly Parton following her death at age 80. “I didn’t agree with her advocating for Transgender & Covid Vaccine support … but Loved her anyway,” Schroder, 56, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, August 26, alongside a photo of him and the late country singer. “Thank you for choosing me Dolly to be your Movie Daddy.” Schroder was seemingly referring to Parton’s advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community as she used her platform to oppose anti-trans legislation. Parton also played a major role in the fight against COVID-19. She made a $1 million donation to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center which helped fund research that led to the development of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Parton and Schroeder crossed paths back in 2015 as he played the fictionalized version of Parton’s father in her TV movie Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors. He reprised his role for the sequel, Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, the following year. A California man who allegedly killed a 16-year-old boy during a targeted attack on a group of teens riding bikes has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, according to authorities. Samuel Matthew Rocha’s guilty plea on Monday, August 24, came after he was convicted in April of four counts of assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of battery, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said in a Wednesday, August 26 news release. The case dates back to April 19, 2021, when prosecutors said Rocha, now 33, targeted seven teenagers, including 16-year-old Pedro Valdez, riding bicycles in Port Hueneme, located about a 65-mile drive west from Los Angeles. Rocha plowed his Lexus sedan into the group, hitting Valdez and four others, according to authorities. Valdez was killed. 2 Men Sentenced to Life in Prison After Pleading Guilty to Killing Bicyclist Two of the four other teens hit by Rocha were seriously injured, prosecutors said. When Rocha drove off after ramming into the group, a witness who saw the attack followed him to a nearby apartment complex, where Rocha’s mother lived, according to authorities. Then Rocha was taken into custody, prosecutors said. Authorities learned that about 11 minutes before Rocha struck…

Ricky Schroder got slammed online following his transphobic and anti-vaccine laced tribute to Dolly Parton. Remembrance after remembrance flooded the internet Tuesday after news that the country music legend had died. Schroder – who played Parton’s father in two TV movies, “Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors” and “Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love” – joined his voice to the many. But he still couldn’t help but point out their political differences in his tribute. “I didnt [sic] agree with her advocating for Transgender & Covid Vaccine support…but Loved her anyway,” Schroder wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of him and Parton. “Thank you for choosing me Dolly to be your Movie Daddy.” This led to a number of celebrities calling the “NYPD Blue” star out for feeling the need to mention those things while honoring Parton. Katie Couric, Boy George, and many others heaped on their disgust for the way Schroder chose to honor Parton’s memory. “Ick,” Couric wrote on Threads. “Oh shut up,” Boy George responded. “Ricky, she just died,” Steven Havre added on Threads. “You could have honored her without using her death to remind everyone that you disapproved of her supporting trans people and vaccines.…
Selena Gomez has filed to dismiss the fraud lawsuit against her. According to court documents obtained by Us on Wednesday, August 26, Gomez’s lawyer, Mathew S. Rosengart, submitted a motion to dismiss the lawsuit brought by Wondermind investors earlier this month. The actress, 34, denied the allegations made by investors that she falsely represented the startup’s infrastructure, leadership and resources. “Ms. Gomez agreed to support her mother Mandy Teefey, who co-founded Wondermind. … Although she invested in and holds a minority stake in the Company, Ms. Gomez never agreed to and did not manage the Company,” the filing read. “Management was vested in Ms. Gomez’s mother, Mandy Teefey, and Ms. Pierson, who ran the Company as co-CEOs and board members. The Company, in turn, retained Ms. Gomez as a consultant and conferred on her the title of Chief Impact Officer (“CIO”).” Rosengart slammed the lawsuit in a statement to Us, “Today’s motion to dismiss demonstrates that plaintiffs never should have dragged Selena Gomez into this case as the claims against her are completely meritless if not frivolous. The notion that Selena engaged in ‘fraud’ or any other wrongdoing is absurd — and in addition to filing our motion we are…
