Jon Stewart reflected on the state of the midterms race two weeks out from Election Day, and admitted on “The Weekly Show” podcast Wednesday that he’s in a “dark hole” about it all. Later adding that “the polling is always so f–ked and so wrong,” the “Daily Show” host and comedian railed against the Republican Party and expressed revulsion for their slate of nominees. “Not a one of them that deserves to be reelected,” he said. “I’m in a little bit of a dark hole about the election,” Stewart said in a segment at the end of Wednesday’s episode where he and producers Brittany Mehmedovic and Gillian Spear respond to audience questions. “In the sense that, will there be any price to pay for the Republican Party in general for acquiescing to the abject recklessness and megalomaniacal instincts of this guy that’s more interested in building ballrooms and monuments than making measured decisions and getting us into a reckless war and just throwing out impulsive tariffs that drive costs up? Like, will there be any — is there anything that can happen?” In regards to the GOP’s slate of nominees running in swing states like Michigan and Texas — Wednesday’s…

Jeff Garlin opened up about his mental health struggles in a new interview, revealing that he texted his “Curb Your Enthusiasm” co-star Susie Essman a suicide note before seeking treatment for bipolar disorder. During a Wednesday appearance on Ted Danson’s SiriusXM show “Where Everybody Knows Your Name,” Garlin reflected on the “nervous breakdown” he experienced while filming his final season of ABC’s “The Goldbergs.” “I had a blowout with ‘The Goldbergs,’” the actor said of his abrupt departure from the show in 2021. Per Garlin, he erupted on-set over product placement for a pizza brand in one episode, prompting him to walk off the set. “I knew I’d never come back to that set again,” he continued. “When the producer of the show came to my house, and I was done, didn’t want to go back. He said, ‘What would it take for you to go back?’ I said, ‘A big raise and I work one day a week.’ They said, ‘Yes.’ And if it sounds too good to be true, it’s too good to be true.” Garlin claimed he faced a lot of “resentment” from the cast and crew over the deal, which he said resulted in him experiencing…

Keira Knightley completely forgot she was previously in a movie with her “The Lives of Others” co-star Luke Thompson. While talking about their new West End play on “This Morning” in the U.K., the performers were asked if they had worked together before. Knightley was quick to answer “no,” prompting Thompson to reveal that she was actually wrong. “Well,” he said. “Remember ‘Misbehaviour?’” Knightley thought for a moment and then was shocked when she realized they had been in the 2020 film together. “Oh no, you were in ‘Misbehaviour!’ she exclaimed, as they both burst out laughing. “We have worked with each other.” She added: “But that wasn’t fair, we didn’t really. And I was early days pregnant, so I don’t remember anything about that film. And he’s suddenly like, ‘You know we’ve worked together before?’ I was like, ‘Really?’” Thompson admitted that while they had both been on the film together, they were on set different days – so he forgave her for not remembering. “And, again, I was under three months pregnant, so basically just vomiting everywhere,” Knightley said. “I don’t remember anyone on that film at all.” “Misbehaviour” also starred Greg Kinnear, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jessie Buckley, Keeley…

Stephen A. Smith spent much of Wednesday defending himself for having dinner with President Donald Trump last week. His midweek media appearances included not just “The View” but his own “Straight Shooter” SiriusXM show, on which he spoke about his dinner with the president, which was also attended by Bill Maher. But he began his day at the ABC morning talk show, sitting at the table with the very hosts criticized his decision to dine with Trump on Tuesday’s episode. “Evidently he forgot he knew me for 35 years, because I immediately said, ‘Yes, I’m coming,’” Smith said. “I came there with three agendas.” The radio host and political commentator explained he wanted to confront Trump about underemployment for Black women, underfunding for HBCUs and his opposition to the Protect College Sports Act. He told “The View” hosts he was surprised by Trump’s reception. “To his credit, he said, ‘I actually didn’t think about that. I’m going to think about that a lot more and I’ll be talking to you about it,’” Smith said. “To his credit, thereafter, he called me after the meeting a couple of days later to ask me to reiterate what my points were about the…

Diddy’s new prison faced allegations of sexual assault and “extensive” strip searches on inmates before his transfer last week. Us has obtained a string of unearthed lawsuits — which have since been dismissed — connected with FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania, in which one inmate accused a correctional officer of sexually assaulting him on three separate occasions and claimed the warden “failed to prevent further assaults through deliberate indifference.” According to the inmate, who Us chose not to name, the first alleged assault happened in October 2016, when the officer “singled him out and pretended to pat him down” after he left the cafeteria. During the alleged interaction, the officer “grabbed [the inmate’s] genitals while smiling and asking, ‘You like that?’” the lawsuit read. The inmate said he did not reply and felt “humiliated” — but the alleged incidents didn’t stop there. Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images Two weeks later, the incarcerated individual said he was assaulted again. During this alleged interaction, the same prison guard purportedly “started to squeeze and rub [the inmate’s genitals] against his hands while asking [the inmate], ‘What is this in your pocket?’” The officer allegedly claimed he thought the prisoner was trying to smuggle food out…

Courtesy of Netflix (2) Multiple couples fall in love “sight unseen” every year on Love Is Blind — and some are so unseen that their stories don’t even make it to Netflix. The reality TV dating experiment dropped season 1 in February 2020, following six couples who fell in love behind a wall, got engaged and then said “I do” or “I don’t” at the altar. The show was so popular that Netflix has aired seven more seasons in five years (and already renewed the series for seasons 9 and 10). Prior to the season 8 finale, Us calculated that there was a success rate of about 25 percent — but that’s strictly from the couples that the cameras followed from start to finish. As it turns out, there are almost always several duos who get engaged on the experiment that fans don’t see. “Each season, there are lots of stories that we don’t tell, regardless of whether couples get engaged or not. Some of them even, we will follow for a little bit and not show their story on the show,” creator Chris Coelen told Variety in 2023. “It’s a little bit of a judgement call.” In a separate…
