Maxi Shield, a famed drag performer that starred on the first season of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under,’ has died at the age of 51. WigsByVanity confirmed the news of Maxi’s passing with an emotional tribute on Instagram. Writing alongside a photoshoot of the two on Feb. 23, “It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news that our dearest sister, Maxine, has passed away. We are all mourning the loss of an incredible icon, friend, and our beloved sister. There is no further information on Maxi’s passing and an official cause of death has not yet been revealed.
