A Los Angeles woman known as the “Ketamine Queen” has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for her role in the death of ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry. According to the Department of Justice, 42‑year‑old Jasveen Sangha admitted to selling Perry the ketamine that ultimately led to his death in October 2023. During sentencing on April 8, Sangha addressed the court, calling her actions “poor choices” and “horrible decisions that ultimately proved tragic," according to NBC News. Sangha pleaded guilty last September to multiple charges, including using her home for drug distribution, three counts of distributing ketamine and one count of distributing ketamine resulting in death. Prosecutors said her actions directly contributed to Perry’s fatal overdose. Perry’s stepfather, veteran journalist Keith Morrison, also spoke during the hearing. While praising the judge for a “highly reasoned sentence,” Morrison shared the family’s ongoing grief, saying they miss Perry deeply and acknowledged that “nobody won today.” Perry was 54 when he died from the acute effects of ketamine. In total, five defendants have pleaded guilty in connection with the case. E! News has reached out to Sangha’s attorneys for comment but has not yet received a response.
