Horror cinema has always tested boundaries and pushed the envelope. And while numerous horror films have given us nightmares over the years, there are a few sick flicks that go above and beyond when it comes to violence, grim imagery, and sickening narratives. That’s the sort of horror movie we want to focus on today: the ones that are so disturbing that the average viewer might not be able to finish them. These films arrive at their shocking destinations via different routes: Martys with emotional and physical carnage, A Serbian Film by breaking taboos, etc. However, all of these movies achieve their goal of traumatizing audiences. These are horror movies that were too disturbing to finish.
