The audiobook business is easy to overlook alongside streaming and podcasting, but its revenue has grown for 15 straight years. Now, a dramatic surge in the number of available titles is pushing the industry toward a more selective phase, as publishers decide which projects merit greater investment while the catalog expands faster than revenue.
