Pope Leo XIV has been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing surgery to remove part of his lung. The Vatican says testing revealed evidence of pulmonary adenocarcinoma, a common type of lung cancer. It’s unclear what stage the disease is at and if the Pontif will need additional treatment. Church officials say he is now recovering at the hospital.
