Channing Tatum exclusively opens up to ET about bringing ‘Magic Mike Live’ to New York City later this year. The actor, who got his start dancing in ‘Step Up,’ says he actually doesn’t consider himself a dancer. Channing credits his ex-wife, Jenna Dewan, for giving their daughter, Everly, the dancing gene. Channing opens up about the cultural phenomenon that ‘Magic Mike’ has evolved into, bringing the live stage show to several major international cities. He gushes over the opportunity to have the show in NYC, where they’re currently building out the stage in a building he owns. Channing and his co-director and choreographer, Alison Faulk, describe the casting process and what fans can expect when they see the show. Though Channing jokes he’s ‘getting older’ and his ‘body hurts,’ he vows to take the stage if Teyana Taylor agrees to emcee the show. Tickets are on sale now at www.MagicMikeLive.com.
