Nell Smith, a music prodigy and collaborator with The Flaming Lips, has died at the age of 17. Bella Union’s Simon Raymonde, the owner of the record label planning to release Nell’s debut solo album, announced her death on Monday, Oct. 7. Her family also paid tribute to the rising star in an Instagram post.
