ET’s Ash Crossan spoke with Mehcad Brooks and Lewis Tan about the moment they found out they were cast in ‘Mortal Kombat,’ in theaters and on HBO Max. Tan reveals he was ‘devastated’ when he found out he didn’t get the titular role in ‘Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings’ before finding out he landed the part of franchise newcomer Cole Young. Brooks reveals he was told he wasn’t cut out for an action role before finding out he was cast as longtime franchise favorite, Jax.
