On Friday, it was announced that ‘Bridgerton’ star Rege-Jean Page will not be returning as the Duke of Hastings for season 2 of the Netflix show. The 31-year-old actor’s departure from the series comes as a shocker, as his role continues to be an essential character throughout author Julia Quinn’s best-selling novels, upon which the show is based. Page took to Twitter following the announcement to express his gratitude and thank the ‘Bridgerton’ family for his time, which unexpectedly was brief, on the series.SHOW LESS
